New Observatory

Thanks to the generosity of fellow amateur astronomer, Charles Harrow, I now own a new 8′ observatory. The dome and housing have not been setup at there new home yet . Hopefully I will have everything in working order soon.

Moving Day!

Perseids

I spent most of Sat., 8-11, night watching the Perseids meteor shower. They were sporadic at first then increased as the night progressed, sometimes two and three could be seen at a time. Sunday night, 8-12, was a wash because of clouds. It’s bright and sunny now so I hope to get some observing time in tonight. I did manage to take a few constellation photos of Pegasus and Ursa Major. They are posted on the forum with links to very hi-res images.
